WTS Extended Option Year for Visa Security

WTS will continue to support Section 428 of the Homeland Security Act of 2002 enabling DHS to assign staff to consular posts abroad to advise, review, and conduct investigations into visa applicants. ICE agents assigned to VSP examine visa applications, initiate investigations of applicants who may be ineligible for a visa, coordinate with other law enforcement entities, and provide advice and training to the State Department personnel involved with visa applications.

The latest version of VSPTS-Net Application is a self-contained web application that assists Visa Security Unit (VSU) agents in determining visa applications with security-related concerns or participation in the SAO. The application adopts current Visa Security Program (VSP) business processes and dependent systems to model a workflow that allows users to identify visa applicants, store case information on those applicants, record a risk determination based on that data, and provide recommendations to Department of State (DOS) officials.
